My heat pump went out two nights ago and Beau H. with Way Cool Plumbing came out and tried to fix it, providing me with honest information that the heat pump may go out and to just call again to reschedule and they would get the parts to fix my unit. Which is exactly what happened. Two nights with no heat, but lots of blankets and a space heater; promptly they made my call a priority to fix. Beau is back, with another tech, with parts in hand to fix the problem. The warranty will cover this, so I appreciate the quick response and explanation.
It all ended well, but the delays were ridiculous. And the cowboy "hold" supposed comedic actor drove me absolutely crazy.I had a problem with the air handler of my electric heating and a/c unit. The job was assigned by Old Republic Home Warranty to Way Cool. The technician who came on November 26th was very arrogant and tried to persuade me to replace the system using Way Cool. When I said that if I were to replace the system I would use the company that services my a/c, he questioned why I wasn't loyal to Way Cool, with whom I had never done business!OId Republic agreed to replace the air handler, and Way Cool told me that it would be installed in early December. In mid-December, having heard nothing, I followed up with Way Cool. They seemed to have completely failed to follow up with Old Republic. More minutes of that awful cowboy actor on hold...Another few weeks went by. On December 12, I called Old Republic, who told me that they had approved a complete replacement of the a/c system, and had placed an order and advised Way Cool. Way Cool had neglected to inform me. More minutes of that awful cowboy actor on hold...Finally on December 18, after a battle with Adriana and Victoria who seem to have no authority to do anything, I was put through to the scheduler. He was understanding of the three-week runaround that I had been given, and arranged for the install on December 23rd.The install went perfectly, so all ended OK. Please get rid of that awful cowboy actor on hold.

North Valley Mechanical has installed and maintained 2 AC units at our house over the past 20 years. My dad suggested I call them and we continue to use them today (now Way Cool Plumbing and Air). Javier recently performed maintenance on our AC and he was knowledgeable, and great to work with. We had our first plumbing service and learned a lot from Michael. I recommend them.
Called to get my AC cleaned after purchasing a year plan for over $500 and got denied. This plan is supposed to cover 2 cleanings a year. I used one upon my purchase of the plan. Apparently under the fine print of the contract cleanings are not covered in the last 3 months of the “year” contract. Really bad business practice to mislead your customers to thinking you are covered for the year. Wish to see more honest places live up to claims. I would find somewhere else if I were you.
If I could give them a 0 I would. I have used this company for so many years as has my family. But let me be the first to tell you, greed has hit this company! They quotes me $15,500 for a new AC. I called 3 other companies and they were all shocked. The highest quote I got was 9400$ for the same exact unit that they wanted to charge me over 15k. Shop around. I will never be using them again. Biggest greed company yet and I’m telling everyone I know to stay away!

I discovered water coming out of my wall Sunday night. I called North Valley after hours and was able to schedule a plumber using their after hours AI answering machine; it was very impressive! I received a follow up call from a human at the beginning of business hours Monday to confirm. The plumber, Michael, reached out to my a little later to let me know he was on the way. Michael was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional and was able to identify and fix the leak. 10/10 Would recommend North Valley Mechanical to anyone
They previously helped me out when my home warranty tried to have me go with someone pushing me to spend hundreds of dollars extra and they fixed and did everything great. A year later and I’m now set up to get 2 cleanings a year for way cheaper than the other companies single service call was. The techs have been very straight forward and great and no one has been slimy like other AC companies I’ve run into.

I would like to give North Valley Mechanical a superb recommendation. Last Friday, we lost the air conditioning in both our family room and guest area. I reached out to our Home Warranty company and requested North Valley Mechanical since I had prior experience with them. They came out the same day. They were able to replace a part to fix the guest area Air Conditioning but the Family Room air conditioner required a new compressor and since it was 20 years old, it was not worth repairing. They were able to schedule the replacement for the next day and there were some significant logistical issues in getting the air conditioner compressor to the proper location which they were able to overcome with extra effort. The new air conditioner is working beautifully. There was a recurrent problem with the guest area air conditioner, and after installing the new air conditioner, the technician was able to find an additional problem with the guest area unit and resolve that problem expeditiously as well. The installer technicians were excellent and my entire experience with North Valley Mechanical couldn’t have been better.

Williams installed our AC unit in May 2023. They have since been acquired by North Valley Mechanical. We had them out recently for an annual inspection. They advised us the unit was installed improperly (wrong elbow and stand) and they are not willing to correct it. Today they advised us that they did not buy Williams AC but they sent me a letter Feb 29 2024 stating they "joined forces" with Williams and "William's is now North Valley Mechanical". So they are lying about their business relationship. heads up for anyone with a Williams installed unit.
I have used NVM for years for their bi-annual service package. They are great people who do quality work. With as much as it costs to replace an AC unit, it is well worth it.

We needed a full system install, the crew showed up right on time at 8:00am to get started, they ripped out and disposed of the old unit and ducting and completely installed the new unit and ducting before leaving at 9:00pm. They were polite, efficient, friendly and cleaned up everything when they were done. System works great! Highly recommend!!

Konner was great! He checked my older HVAC and I decided to try to limp my 12.5 SEER along for another year by him replacing a canister. I trust North Valley Mechanical and have been a customer for at least 10 years. When the time comes, I plan on using this company for a new replacement. APRIL 2024 Update: The tech, Beau, did a thorough job of cleaning / maintaining my rooftop HVAC unit. He was professional, patient, displayed a positive attitude. The American Standard unit is working fine since the 4-30-2024 cleaning.
The tech has a great personality. He was very thorough in testing out two heat pump units. He found that a capacitor was dying, and had him replace it. If it was not replace, it could have gone out during summer usage and cause other problems. I very satisfined.
He's serviced two houses for over the past 12+ years and has always done a superb job and been excellent to work with.

This company quoted me 1250 for a reversing valve. Then never called me to follow up with parts status that was under warranty. I called Semper Fi they found it was just a bad thermostat. They saved me so much money and got running the same day out. Avoid North Valley Mechanical.
I rarely leave reviews but they flat out are no very professional the first guy that came out didn't have the appropriate ladder.. which no big deal I rescheduled but the next time a tech came out he told us to buy more filters to complete the job and we had to do another reschedule which again no big deal. We called them out to finish the job and they said they couldnt go out to finish it and gave me a different quote because its a office space. let people know up front the cost and dont leave people half hanging. I emailed the manager and no response ? if we were told upfront the cost then it would of been different also how come two of the tech that came out didnt say anything about the cost changing. do better
